Contract Analyst

COMPENSATION

JOB DESCRIPTION
VCourt Recruitment Partners is partnering with our client in the Chelmsford, MA area seeking a Contract Analyst.
Purpose:
Manage contracting processes and staff including training new and existing staff, negotiations, Paid Right application enhancements, auditing to ensure contracts are loaded correctly and researching issues as requested by Associate Director and Executive Director of Billing Operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Oversee staff review of all contracts for all provider groups that are under review for renegotiation
2. Oversee staff review of all new contract’s provider groups that are interested in entering and carrying out
3. Oversee staff review of all contract-related reimbursement issues
4. Notify Associate Director of any contract related issues/ trends
5. Oversee the use of the Paid Right application and audit contractors loading contracts for various clients
6. Oversee Paid Right enhancements to ensure the application is working properly and raise to Associate Director if there is a bug that needs to be addressed
7. Train new Senior Contract Analysts and Contract Analysts
8. Provide training to all existing employees via in person and virtual
9. Maintain current contracting/ paid right desk reference
10. Ensure new clients are set up within Paid Right and oversee Senior Contract Analyst setting up new contracts for new clients
11. Research questions and issues as requested by Associate Director and Executive Director
12. Assign work to staff and ensure completion
13. Comply with all State and Federal Laws regarding an effective Compliance Program inclusive of HIPAA Privacy and Security a. Adhere to the Code of Conduct and be familiar with all compliance policies and procedures relevant to this position b. Ensure departmental employees follow the Code of Conduct, compliance policies and procedures c. Administer the appropriate sanction when an employee violates a compliance policy or procedure
14. Uphold company mission, vision, and values
15. Facilitate meetings within department and make presentations to senior management as needed

Education (Degrees, Certificates, Licenses, Etc.):
High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Computer Skills:
Prior word processing, spreadsheet and internet software experience including proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word required.
Experience:
1. Prior third-party medical billing experience preferred
2. 1-3 years health insurance contracting required
Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability :
1. Ability to use systems, software, websites, and telecommunications to identify issues, obtain necessary information, and take appropriate actions
2. Ability to interact with insurance companies to resolve payment issues
3. Ability to interact with staff to successfully train Follow Up Department employees
4. Ability to audit employees’ performance
5. Ability to maintain records and provide information to Management
6. Ability to maintain current Procedure Manual and training samples
7. Ability to add, to subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
8. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals
9. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
10. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
11. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
12. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision
13. Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, use hands, talk, hear and occasionally walk and reach with hands or arms
Work Environment:
This position is located in a temperature-controlled office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually light to moderate.
